Sekmēt kvalificētu speciālistu un mācību spēka (instruktoru) sagatavošanu profesionālo (komerciālo/industriālo), specifiskās kvalifikācijas, sporta un brīvā laika ūdenslīdēju, kā arī zemūdens darbu nozarē, turklāt kvalifikācijas uzturēšanu un pilnveidošanu atbilstoši likumdošanas aktiem, starptautisko organizāciju prasībām un sabiedrības vajadzībām;
Aizsargāt savu biedru intereses, sniegt atbalstu, specifikai raksturīgos, ekonomiskajos, juridiskajos un ekspertīzes jautājumos; Sekmēt nozaru regulējošās nacionālās likumdošanas bāzes izveidi un pilnveidošanu; Pilnvērtīgi nodrošināt savu funkciju izpildi attiecīga likumdošanas akta deleģējuma vai pilnvarojuma robežās. |
