Operational objectives

Apzināt un apvienot aktīvos seniorus un citus darboties gribošus cilvēkus un nevalstiskās organizācijas Rīgas pilsētā.
Cilvēktiesību un indivīdu tiesību, sociāli ekonomisku tiesību un interešu aizsardzība, to materiālās un garīgās labklājības veicināšana un iesaistīšana demokrātiski aktīvos sabiedrības procesos.
Veidot sabiedrības līdzdalības modeli, kas nodrošina Biedrības un interesēto sabiedrības grupu viedokļu uzklausīšanu un vienlīdzības principa ievērošanu lēmumu pieņemšanas procesā visos līmeņos un rīcībpolitikas veidošanas ciklos.
Veicināt iedzīvotāju socializācijas procesu un sociālo integrāciju.
Aktivizēt senioru un pārējo biedrību brīvprātīgo kustību, izmantojot Biedrības iekšējos resursus.
Palielināt senioru lomu, ievērojot pēctecības principu, sabiedriskajā sektorā, politikā un uzņēmējdarbībā.
Dibināt pastāvīgus sakarus un aktīvi līdzdarboties ar Baltijas valstu un citu Eiropas Savienības valstu galvaspilsētu senioru vai līdzīgām organizācijām un citām pašvaldību sadraudzības pilsētām.
Sekmēt diskusiju pašvaldībā par aktuāliem pārvaldes jautājumiem, piedaloties konsultatīvajās padomēs pašvaldības ietvaros un veicinot iedzīvotāju pašorganizācijas - aktīvo kopienu darbību un citas aktivitātes.
Iestāties EURAG un aktīvi atbalstīt senioru kustību Eiropā un pasaulē.
Izveidot Biedrības mājas lapu internetā un avīzi elektroniskā formātā, lai paplašinātu biedrības biedru aktīvo tīklu.
Izglītot sabiedrību visās vecumu grupās, tai skaitā organizēt apmācības, konferences, seminārus, radošās darbnīcas un citus izglītojošus pasākumus.
Veikt finansiālo līdzekļu piesaistīšanu, izstrādājot projektus, piedaloties to konkursos, slēdzot sadarbības līgumus ar pašvaldības institūcijām par atsevišķu funkciju veikšanu, kā arī pieņemot ziedojumus un veicot citu saimniecisko darbību.
Veicināt un atbalstīt aktīvu un veselīgu dzīvesveidu, veicinot veselības un slimību profilaksi.
Iesaistīt sabiedrību kultūras un izglītojošās aktivitātēs, realizējot mūžizglītību.
Mobilizēt un atbalstīt Latvijas iedzīvotājus, lai nodrošinātu personas tiesības uz cilvēka cienīgu dzīvi, pielāgojoties sociāli ekonomiskajiem mainīgajiem apstākļiem.
Organizēt labdarības pasākumus.
Veicināt aktivitātes pirmsskolas un jauniešu izglītībā.
