Operational objectives 1. Būtiski paaugstināt elektroenerģijas un siltumenerģijas ražošanas apjomus no atjaunojamiem un fosilajiem energoresursiem, tādejādi mazinot Latvijas atkarību no promāro elektroenerģijas resursu importa;
2. Veicināt BIODEGVIELAS LIKUMA izpildi;
3. Veicināt valsts likumu un MK noteikumu par koģenerāciju izpildi, popularizēt koģenerācijas ideju valstī un EK;
4. Sagatavot priekšlikumus un sniegt konsultācijas valsts iestādēm un uzņēmējiem koģenerācijas nozarē;
5. Pētīt un popularizēt koģenerācijas, biogāzes, biomasas, ūdens, vēja, saules un atkritumu izmantošanu enerģijas ražošanai;
6. Piedalīties ES struktūrfondu un NVO, nacionālo programmu un pārrobežu sadarbības projektos par koģenerāciju, biogāzes, biomasas, ūdens, saules, vēja un atkritumu izmantošanu enerģijas ražošanā;
7. Sadarbībā ar ieinteresētajām ministrijām, pašvaldībām, zinātniekiem un praktiķiem piedalīties likumdošanas pilnveidošanā, sniegt konsultācijas, ieteikumus un padomus ieinteresētajām personām;
8. Sadarboties ar radniecīgajām organizācijām Baltijā, ES, kā arī NVS;
9. Izveidot savu informatīvo preses izdevumu, kā arī izmantot citus masu informāciju līdzekļus, lai sekmētu statūtos izvirzīto mērķu īstenošanu;
10. Iestāties un sadarboties ar organizāciju COGEN.
