Operational objectives

Biedrība ir starptautiska cilvēktiesību aizsardzības biedrība, kura darbojas sabiedriska tiesībsarga veidā un kuras mērķi ir:
galvenais mērķis ir panākt Latvijā un citās valstīs ANO 1989.gada 20.novembra Konvencijā par bērna tiesībām, kā arī citos bērnu tiesību un cilvēktiesību dokumentos ietverto vispārējo cilvēktiesību principu īstenošanu, lobējot tos visos līmeņos un jomās;
regulāri gatavot Alternatīvos Ziņojumus ANO un citām starptautiskām institūcijām, veicināt un uzraudzīt ANO u.c. sniegto rekomendāciju Latvijas valdībai izpildi;
veicināt tādu valsts politikas attīstību, kas uzlabotu vidi un apstākļus, kuros dzīvo bērni, sniedzot priekšlikumus un sadarbojoties ar Saeimas un valdības komisijām;
veicināt starptautisko un vietējo attīstības sadarbību bērnu tiesību aizsardzības jomā;
pievērst bērnu tiesību aizsardzības problēmām sabiedrības, valsts un pašvaldības iestāžu uzmanību;
sniegt konsultatīvu palīdzību un iespējamo atbalstu bērniem, kuriem to nav snieguši oficiāli dienesti likumā noteiktajā kārtībā;
vākt līdzekļus Biedrības mērķu īstenošanai, tai skaitā arī tādiem diskriminācijas samazināšanas un iekļaušanas mērķiem kā izglītībai, veselībai, kultūrai, mākslai, sportam un citiem.
